Hi friends, it’s been a while since my last blog post as I have been away travelling again and had an amazing but rather exhausting journey. Blogging and twittering while travelling is not always the easiest due to somewhat criminal roaming charges imposed by South African mobile operators so all the images and stories will only be posted in the coming weeks and months.
While travelling I got some very good news regarding my entries into the 2010 Fujifilm Getaway Wildlife Environmental Awards competition. I took first place in the Landscapes and Plants category, 2nd runner up plus two certificates in the same category and also took 1st runner up in the People in Nature category. The Fujifilm awards remain one of the most prestigious awards in South African Photography and I am honoured to have multiple of my images recognised in this year’s awards. The Fujifilm awards is a print competition and entries are judged on not only the quality of the image but also of the print quality.
I’d like to thank Fujifilm South Africa, Getaway Magazine and the judges for this recognition and for the wonderful prize which will certainly be well used to add even more images to my collection.
I’d also like to congratulate all the other winners and certificates received.
My winning images were:
Winner – Landscapes & Plants Category

Second Runner Up – Landscapes & Plants Category:

Certificate of Merit – Landscapes & Plants Category:
