Stealth Hunter – New Print Release

by mitchellkrog on September 28, 2010

Another image release in my new collection of prints from the Maasai Mara. Leopards (Panthera pardus) truly are stealth hunters and are very agile in all aspects. We spent a while tracking this leopard on a morning drive in the Maasai Mara and it turned out to be quite entertaining. We watched this beautiful cat stalk some Dik-Dik’s who turned out to be far too clever for this leopard and quickly darted off into the bush once they caught scent of the leopard. Thereafter the leopard started moving through the river bed and this is when I captured this image. This image has a very slight sepia warming tone to the image which is not very noticeable in this small web preview.

That pic is so awesome. How creative to make the image black and white background white, it enhances his spots and really brings him out of the picture. With the grass by his back legs it looks like he is coming out of the bush into the open that is filled with light.
