We encountered this fascinating little creature on the plains of the Maasai Mara during a morning drive. Normally Bat-eared foxes are very skittish and will quickly disappear once they spot vehicles or people. This one however did not care much about our presence and continued entertaining us and searching for food for a good 30 minutes before we decided to move on and get back to camp. Every so often he would stop and pose for the camera and the overcast conditions made for some pleasing exposures helping to accentuate subtle, natural glints in the eyes. He is just too cute. I want one … I love the way that you captured this shot Mitchell – it is like he is peeking around a corner looking at you – playing peek a boo.
Thanks Elise, he sure is a cutey and I’m glad I captured some images of this rather elusive creature.
Totally cool close up shot with great detail. Stumbled upon your blog today and really enjoyed reading and looking at your images, you are a very talented man. Have bookmarked you and will be visiting regularly. All the best, Jack.
Hi Jack, thanks so much for stopping by and for the kind words.
This is such a deep blog! What can I say, youve hit the nail right on the head! You even added some videos to make it seem so much more real. Youve got a great way of communicating with the reader, a great way of making me feel like what you have to say is just as important to me as it is to you. Keep it up!
