One morning in the Maasai Mara we came across a pride of lion relatively close to where the famous Marsh pride reside. Our guides informed us this pride was not from the area so they were extremely watchful and cautious of being noticed by other prides in this territory. For one brief moment this lioness stood up alarmed and looked off into the distance with that real wild cat look in her eyes. We came across the same pride on another day too who had then killed a wildebeest which they consumed rather quickly with this same lioness constantly on the watch for enemies.
